KANAKA streamlines the work of service units handling violence cases against women and children, such as UPTD PPA (Regional Technical Implementation Unit for the Protection of Women and Children). KANAKA enables centralized information management and sharing, allowing UPTD PPA staff to focus more on handling cases and taking preventive measures against violence toward women and children.
Integration Feature
SIMFONI-PPA is a system application developed by the Ministry of Women’s Empowerment and Child Protection (KEMEN-PPPA) for recording, reporting, and managing data related to violence against women and children. KANAKA complements features not yet available in SIMFONI-PPA and supports integration, so UPTD PPA staff no longer need to manually input data into SIMFONI-PPA. This integration simplifies the recording process and improves efficiency in handling cases of violence.
Core Features of the KANAKA Application to Enhance the Effectiveness and Efficiency of UPTD PPA
Child Record Information Management Screen
The child record information management screen allows the registration of various information related to children. UPTD PPA staff can register and edit basic information such as consultation type and consultation route, as well as detailed information such as background on violence or other issues. All registered information can be viewed on a single screen without switching views. Moreover, when reopening a case or receiving a related case (e.g., a sibling), information can be linked and displayed, minimizing the amount of required data entry. The entered information is also used for administrative report samples.
Detailed Search Screen
Searches can be performed based on various conditions such as consultation type, child information, temporary custody, processing status, progress records, and more. UPTD PPA staff can more easily extract cases by combining multiple conditions, such as: “I want to find cases of abuse consultations received last year and currently under temporary shelter.”
Meeting Notes
KANAKA provides a Meeting Notes feature to ensure that cases handled by UPTD PPA are well documented and easily monitored. Meeting notes include the date, discussion topics, decisions made, and follow-up plans (e.g., investigation, psychological assessment, medical examination, temporary protection, etc.). With voice input and summary support, UPTD PPA staff can easily create detailed and accurate notes. Important information such as investigation results, treatment plans, and expert opinions can be conveniently recorded and stored in the system.
You can search, view, and register information on women and children listed in the database and server via a browser. Additionally, you can generate reports and statistical data into Excel files based on the registered child data. The reports and statistical data can also be edited in Microsoft Excel. You can also set restrictions on search, viewing, registration, and output operations based on job type, child, and whether or not you are responsible for the child in question.
